When walking to watch the Navy Pier fireworks, my family and I stopped at a smaller beach (or just a sandy area?) while it was getting dark. I took out my camera and was trying to change my settings to adjust to the lights at night, and while doing so, I took this picture. When I got home, I spent a while working with this picture because I couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. Even though it’s not a photo I’d normally take, I really liked the unique way the lights are pictured.
