Earlier in March, I had the opportunity to photograph the First Annual Patricio Fundraiser by Dumpling Diplomacy benefiting IMANI. In the kitchen, this crate held some of the supplies and ingredients brought to help set up the event. As I walked around, I could see members of the community coming together for a common cause, highlighting the power of good food (and dumplings).
Dumpling Diplomacy focuses on building community across social and cultural divides through its unique food-centered programs. At the same time, IMANI aims to bridge the achievement gap by supporting families, students, and teachers.
